These are what you must take to have a beautiful skin till Old age

               SKIN SUPPLEMENTS

Weeks ago we treated eye supplements, knowing molecules to use for a better and proper functioning of the eye. Guess what? The skin is not left out of supplementation for better glow and aesthetic presentation.

The Skin remains the biggest organs outside the body, therefore adequate nourishment is required all times. In fact the appearance of your skin can rightly show how healthy you are.

I am very sure someone is saying,’ Wow, thank God. Especially women because we are usually the ones that want to look younger than our age; some men are even greater ‘freaks’ of how they look. Well, this article is just the right one for you my dear reader. Well, as you know; ‘Looking good is good business’.

Did I just give that long introductory speech in written words without saying a good day to you my wonderful readers? ‘A good and wonderful day to you my dear ones’

Now that I have given you due honour my dear readers, I think I am now permitted to continue with our topic for the day. I can’t wait for you to read this and get a better glowing skin.

    These supplements include:-

    A) Omega-3 fatty acids

We treated this supplement in eye performance last week. They also are important supplement in skin outlook. There are three main fatty acids and each of this have varying sources in which they are abundant in nature. These and their sources are:-

    1) Omega 3 alphalinolenic fatty acids

Usually of plant oils origin; Typical examples are walnut and flaxseed oil.

    2) Omega 3 eicosapentanoic acid and docosahexanoic acid.

Examples are fish, fish oils, eggs from chickens fed with fatty acid, squid oils and krill oils.

The function of these omega-3 fatty acids leads to better glowing and youthful skin by helping to eliminate those inflammatory tags on the skin like acne, psoriasis.

    B) Evening Primrose Oil

    It is the oil of the plant Oenothera biennis. Let me tell you the story behind the name ‘Evening primrose’. I guess someone is asking ‘Why evening’? Okay, the tale goes thus;

“The flowers are hermaphrodites produced and only last until the following noon. They open visibly fast every evening producing an interesting spectacle hence that name.So tale time is over.

Evening primrose oil is rich in Omega-6 essential fatty acids and has linolenic acid and gamma-linolenic acid.

Its function in skin outlook is in the curing of psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis; reduces skin irritations, crucial and handy even in managing wrinkles.

    C) Selenium

Let me give a brief introduce to who Mr.Selenium is. Well, he is a chemical element with symbol Se and atomic number 34. Aside from its role in skin outlook function; its other function ranges from asthma to arthritis to dandruff and even infertility. Though these results are inconclusive, Natural sources aside from capsulated supplements of selenium include beef, poultry, grains, brazil nuts, walnuts.

In the skin, it functions to act as an antioxidant property which also has the role in other organs of the body. It neutralizes some dangerous chemical entity called free radicals and thus decreases their degenerative ability. This it does by helping to slow down the aging process by also helping to reduce cell damage and thus preventing wrinkles.

Please note that its abuse could increase the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer.

    D) Tumeric

An ancient spice that acts as both colouring and flavouring agent; It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can be used topically on the skin.

Various studies have it that even consuming tumeric in foods helps prevent skin conditions like psoriasis and acne.

    There are however two precautions:-

    1.  Do not take excess of tumeric supplement
    2.  Avoid excess in pregnancy as it is known to stimulate the uterus.

    E) Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a group of compounds that include tocopherols and tocotrienols.

It is a dietary supplement and yet available in many foods. Vitamin E is an antioxidant just like Mr.Selenium which we looked into earlier.

    I would just end this article with these other pieces of advice;

    1) Ensure you stay hydrated . It is a good solution to a perfect skin

    2)  Avoid abusing medicated creams as they could be harsh to the skin and even end up killing the normal dermal flora.

    3) Avoid and cut huge exposure to ultraviolet rays especially that from the direct sun.

For every supplement you buy, always make sure that you follow the rules treated some weeks back. The skin is an organ that that get allergic signals most as part of the body.

As I said earlier, ‘ looking good is good business’. So my dear readers, keep that beautiful skin of yours glowing at all time and remember that Your Health Is Your Wealth.

Do have a great week ahead and keep your skin glowing.

Till next time on this page.
